Carrier Ethernet Switch model : CET-10448


At 6 RU size and 88 Gbps of switching capacity, the CET-10448 Carrier Ethernet 
switch provides the most cost-effective packet transport that offers E1/T1 and 
STM-1 circuit emulation (PWE3), Enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 VPN

connectivity services, packet based mobile backhaul, and residential triple-play
services in metro networks.

The CET-10448 is a Carrier Ethernet metro switch with 88 Gbps non-blocking
switching capacity that offers the cost effective and flexible UNI/NNI port

- Up to 48 Fast Ethernet/Gigabit Ethernet ports
- Up to 96 E1/T1 ports
- Up to 24  STM-1 ports

Cost Effective and Flexible Packet Transport Solutions

In metro networks, the CET-10448 is the best solution for enterprise and mobile  

backhaul, transporting both Ethernet and legacy TDM (E1/T1, STM-1) over a
converged packet transport network, and thus reducing capital  

expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expense (OPEX). 

MPLS-TP Solutions Providing Protection and End-to-end OAM

As a packet transport network solution, the CET-10448 supports Ethernet and
MPLS-TP SONET-like sub-50 ms protection and OAM capabilities,
circuit emulation (E1/T1, STM-1), and network synchronization (Synchronous
Ethernet and IEEE 1588v2*).
The CET-10448 supports carrier class OAM capabilities, including 802.3ah Link
OAM, 802.1ag/Y.1731 Ethernet Connectivity Fault Management (CFM), Y.1731
Ethernet Performance Monitoring (PM), and G.8113.1 MPLS-TP OAM. These  

capabilities provide rapid notification of network faults at both the link level and  

the end-to-end service level to help ensure that Service Level Agreement (SLA)  

are being met.
