Overview

Power over Ethernet or PoE describes any of several standards or ad-hoc systems which pass electric power along with data on twisted pair Ethernet cabling. This allows a single cable to provide both data connection and electric power to devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones.

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) product’s wireless throughput could be over 1 Gbps. Thus Zone AP devices which have Wi-Fi 6 should be with the PoE switch which is able to support 2.5Gbps. H5308P supports 8 ports 2.5Gbps PoE interfaces and 10Gbps WAN interfaces which could be XGS-PON interface or 10GbE interface.

The H5308P supports a variety of features to enhance the QoS, multicast, security and operational efficiency of existing Layer 2-based Giga Switch devices. The H5308P fully supports all Layer 2 switch functionality and also supports QoS and security features.

H5308P supports NetBEUI / NetBIOS / NBT filtering, DHCP filtering, MAC address restriction, private IP address restriction, blocking harmful sites and unauthorized data entry. It also provides robust system and network protection against abnormal traffic attacks from the network or network subscribers. It ensures the stability of the device.
